Commission books that don’t fight your AMS.Carriers, producers, and cash—reconciled.

Done-for-you bookkeeping for insurance agencies—nationwide remote service. Essentials $99/month.

Carrier commission deposits, overrides, contingent bonuses, producer draws, and AMS exports rarely map cleanly to a generic “sales” account. We keep agency books readable so you know what you earned—not just what hit the bank.

What we handle for insurance agencies

Commission businesses need commission-aware books.

Cash from carriers is not the same as earned operating profit.

  • Commission income timingAdvance vs. earned commission treatment kept understandable so you don’t spend money that isn’t operating profit yet.
  • Carrier chargebacks & adjustmentsChargebacks and statement adjustments coded so one deposit doesn’t become mystery “insurance income.”
  • Producer / sub-agent payoutsDraws, W-2 producers, and 1099 producers entered consistently against commissions.
  • Contingency & bonus incomeYear-end contingents and growth bonuses parked correctly when they arrive on their own schedule.
  • E&O and marketing lead spendErrors & omissions premiums and lead/marketing spend in predictable expense accounts.
  • Book-of-business & multi-entity awarenessHigh-level awareness when buying/selling a book or running agency + personal entities—monthly packages stay on operating books; deals scoped separately.
How it usually works / typical pain

Deposits look simple. Agency economics aren’t.

Carrier statements vs. bank deposits

One deposit can bundle carriers, chargebacks, and adjustments. Without structure, the P&L becomes a pile of “insurance income.”

Producer draws muddy cash

Draws against future commissions need consistent treatment—or owners stop trusting monthly numbers.

Contingents arrive late

Parking bonuses correctly keeps owners from treating one-time carrier money as recurring profit.

Agency + personal entity blur

Personal spending and multi-entity setups are common; we keep operating books clean and flag what needs separate handling.

Industry FAQ

Before you get started.

Do you integrate directly with our AMS?

We don’t need to live inside your AMS. We reconcile from banking and the commission detail you share (exports, statements, or notes). That keeps books tied to cash while still reflecting how the agency earns.

How do you treat commission advances vs. earned?

We categorize based on the detail you provide and keep treatment consistent month to month. Complex carrier-specific accrual setups can be discussed on an intro call if you need that layer.

What about premium trust accounting?

Operating bookkeeping is our core monthly service. If you hold premium funds that require separate trust accounting, we’ll clarify scope up front so operating and trust stay appropriately separated.

We’re buying or selling a book of business—can you help the books?

Transaction structuring is separate from monthly bookkeeping. We can keep the ongoing books clean before and after a deal; complex deal accounting is scoped if needed.

Agency growth is hard enough without fuzzy books.
